LEA 2019 Convocation

Opening Eyes, Minds, & Hearts is the theme for Lutheran Education Association’s 2019 Convocation, October 10–12 at the St. Louis Americas Center in St. Louis, Mo. This thirteenth triennial convocation provides professional growth, worship, and fellowship opportunities designed for educators in Lutheran schools and other educational agencies at all levels. Lutheran school educators are in the business of opening eyes, minds, and hearts to the wonders, intricacies, blessings, and perils of all that science, social studies, mathematics, the arts, and religious studies have to offer.

Registration fees will be announced later, and schools are invited to set aside funding through the Convocation Deposit Option plan. Hotel rates at six nearby hotels are locked in at $139.00 per room per night and one hotel at $155.00 per room per night.

Additional and continuing convocation information is available on LEA’s website, Twitter #LEA2019, and LEA’s Facebook page.

Grow-A-Teacher will continue to grow into the 2019 LEA Convocation. Future Lutheran school teachers from the Concordias and Valpo attending the 2016 convocation both enjoyed and grew from their experiences in workshops, dialog, and fellowship. LEA’s goal is to make the same thing happen in 2019—a goal of 100 future teachers registered and accommodated for Opening Eyes, Minds, & Hearts. Contributions are accepted online by credit card or by mail with a check.
